Alternative Service Concepts to Present Controlling Your Claims at Arkansas Self Insurers Association’s Spring Fling

Nashville, TN, March 31, 2011 – Alternative Service Concepts, LLC (ASC) Senior Vice President Glenn Backus and Account Executive Kevin Marrs will present a session entitled: Benchmarking and Trend Analysis 101: Controlling Your Claims next week at the 2011 Arkansas Self Insurers Association (ASIA) Spring Fling event.

ASC will share with all attendees present how to recognize and understand the basics of benchmarking and trend analysis through the use of practical examples. These examples will focus on risk management (claims), adjuster performance, vendor performance, and allocated loss adjustment expenses (ALAE.) ASIA Spring Fling attendees will also learn about the sources of benchmarking data in the marketplace.

“The topic for successful claims management at this year’s Spring Fling event is evidence of the growing interest and meaning behind what makes up a successful claims administration program,” said Glenn Backus. “In addition, with most entities facing tightening budgets and rising medical costs, there is high demand for new ideas that can help control costs and get injured employees get back to work sooner.”

Alternative Service Concepts’ participation at ASIA’s Spring Fling 2011 would be the first time the organization has been invited to speak before ASIA members. Self Insured entities make up nearly ASC’s entire book of business including clients throughout the state of Arkansas. Self Insured entities take more of a proactive approach to control their costs because the first dollar comes out of their pockets.

Benchmarking and Trend Analysis 101: Controlling Your Claims will be presented on Thursday April 7th from 2 to 3 pm at the Hot Springs Convention Center, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
