The City of Arlington Chooses Alternative Service Concepts for Claims Administration

Apr 29, 2010
Alternative Service Concepts, LLC (ASC), a full-service, workers' compensation and property & casualty third party claims administrator, announced that the City of Arlington Texas has chosen ASC to administer its Liability, Auto, and Workers' Compensation claim programs out of their Workforce Services Department. ASC's dedicated, on-site staffing model will conduct timely and comprehensive investigations on all claim intakes.

"ASC's dedicated, on-site relationship will be designed so that City personnel have immediate access for all claim file reviews, MMSE management, and overall technical and legal knowledge which fits in with our business model," said Mr. Robert Bennett, CEO of ASC. "It is imperative that we take responsibility for all claims by acting timely and efficiently to return to normalcy in accordance with The City of Arlington's Risk Management Department."

ASC's function as a dedicated claims unit is to reduce the City's possible exposure by carefully investigating and coding claims for loss information including bodily injury, personal injury and property damage. A co-operative compliance approach allows the City to be made aware of pending litigation, approve claim settlements, and monitor remaining reserves.
